The Main Event!
📣 Thursday Throwdown: Undeadpool #1 vs. Supernatural #1
Welcome back to the ring for this week's Thursday Throwdown! Tonight, we have a clash of horror and humor as two newcomers enter the comic book arena. In the red corner, we have the merc with the mutated mouth. And in the blue corner, the legendary monster hunters! It’s Marvel vs. Dynamite in a chilling, hilarious main event!
Undeadpool #1: The Merc with the Mutated Mouth
Introducing the new heavyweight in the Marvel ring, the Undeadpool #1 rookie! This fighter steps into the 'Age of Revelation' event with a terrifying new persona. His main character, Wade Wilson, the former mercenary known for breaking the fourth wall and his chaotic fighting style, is now a mutated nightmare. The X-Virus has finally made Wade a mutant, but his legendary regenerative healing factor has gone into overdrive, leaving his mind a helpless passenger in a body consumed by an insatiable hunger for the life force of other mutants. His promoters, writer Tim Seeley and artist Carlos Magno, promise a brutal, slasher-horror approach to the Deadpool mythos. This challenger isn't just fighting; he's a constant threat, driven by an instinct he can't control, targeting new blood mutants like Fearless, Magni, Kid Man-Thing, and Fantastica. Undeadpool is a new kind of zombie, one who is terrifyingly aware of the chaos he is inflicting, making him an unpredictable and darkly humorous threat in the horrifying 'Age of Revelation' world.
Supernatural #1: The Wayward Sons
And in the opposite corner, a Supernatural #1 newcomer from Dynamite Entertainment, bringing the road-weary, gritty fight from the foundational seasons of their landmark television series to the comic panel. His corner men, writer Greg Pak and artist Eder Messias, are taking the audience back to the early, emotionally raw days of the monster hunters. The main characters, the Winchester Brothers, Sam and Dean, are still reeling from the events of the season one finale, hunting the evil that took their mother and Sam's girlfriend. They're two anti-authoritarian heroes who rely on their instinct, Dad's journal, and a battered muscle car (not quite Baby, but close) to face the demonic forces of the world. This rookie's first fight is a standalone, episodic tale, classic "monster-of-the-week" style, involving a sinister entity behind a string of mysterious fires and spontaneous combustion in a decaying rust belt town. This is the quintessential supernatural action-horror, focusing on the strong dynamic between the introspective Sam and the devil-may-care Dean.
